Hey, it’s Bao! I’m very happy to introduce you to the my friend Moon, to whom I’ll be passing on the Juicykits.com torch. Despite receiving lots of offers to acquire the Juicykits.com brand, I trust that Moon is the best person to carry on our mission of providing great information about succulents and air plants, beautifully-designed DIY terrarium products, and simply good vibes. I’d like to tell you more about Moon and our plans for Juicykits.com and I hope that you’ll join me in giving him a juicy welcome to the family.
MoonHee Cho (friends like to call him Moon) owns and operates a huge store called Costar Orchids and Tropicals located in the Los Angeles Wholesale Flower District. Costar has been a wholesale partner to Juicykits since 2015, providing us with a wide variety of terrarium supplies, succulents, and air plants. We’ve developed a great relationship and I’ve admired Moon’s reputation of giving personal attention to each customer, large or small.
Like myself, MoonHee is a first-generation immigrant and entrepreneur at heart. He studied Engineering at university in South Korea, before coming to the US to help his parents with the family business, which has been a wholesaler of house plants for over 10 years. Moon started his own store in 2014 and quickly began to focus on succulents and air plants. Over the time we’ve known each other, we’ve related over our experiences of being immigrants, of running a small business, and we’ve traded expertise of succulents and cacti.
Another thing we have in common is that we’re both nerds and we love our work! Moon works seven days a week and is constantly expanding his skill set in order to make sure his business continues to grow. With his brick-and-mortar store, Moon has built the infrastructure, business relationships, and expertise to take Juicykits.com even further – providing a better variety products and information, especially to our corporate customers. Moon and his team will bring back the Juicykits.com online store over the next few weeks and you’ll now be able to visit the Juicykits store in person at 739 South San Pedro St. Los Angeles CA 90014.
I will stay on as an advisor for a few months to ensure the transition is smooth and the new Juicykits.com is the best it can be. Going forward, I’ll be dedicating most of my time to songwriting, making art and music, and advocating for some social causes that I’m passionate about: cultural diversity, arts education, and Asian-American issues. If you’d like to stay up to date on my endeavors, please join my mailing list at HeyItsBao.com and subscribe to my music Youtube channel. You can also leave a message for us in the comments below. Thanks a lot for supporting Juicykits.com since its humble beginnings and stay tuned as Juicykits.com reboots!
