Q: I'm buying a gift for an upcoming date. When should I order?

A: The sooner the better, so we have time to make your order perfect. Order at least a 10 days before and use our “Delivery Date” picker on the checkout screen to let us know your perfect delivery date. We’ll schedule the shipping date so that your package arrives on or before that date.

Q: Do you ship to countries outside of the USA?

A: Nope. The U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibits shipping plants and soil outside of the continental United States because they don’t want to spread bacteria and pests that could harm the ecosystem in other places. You can see more in our Store Policies below.

Q: How do I get 10% off my first purchase?

A: To receive a 10% coupon code, please join our mailing list. Your code will come in the confirmation email after signing up. To use your code, enter it into the “Coupon” field in your shopping cart or during checkout.

Q: We have an event coming up. Can we get a discount on a large order?

A: Yes yes yes! For weddings, events, and company gifts we usually can offer you a discount on 12 or more of the same kit. Sometimes we can even do custom branded glass or packaging too, for larger orders! The best way to go about this is to contact us to tell us what you need and when you need it.

Q: Where do you guys get your succulents?

A: Succulents are picked up fresh when you order them, straight from the farms of our various growers in Southern California and around the Southwestern USA.

Q: Does Juicykits have an actual store I can visit?

A: Yes! In 2017, Juicykits merged with one of our longtime partners, Costar Orchids and Tropicals, giving us a physical storefront at 739 South San Pedro St. Los Angeles CA 90014.

Q: Can you tell me why my succulent looks unhealthy?

A: Yes, just contact us with details and we’ll do our best. But first you might wanna try checking our How-to Articles because there’s lots of info there.

Our Store Policies

Products: We sell high quality, hand-blown glass and fresh live plants, so each item is unique and will be slightly different from the ones in the photos on this website. Illustrations of our products are, of course, not shown to scale – they’re just to give you a basic idea of the product. :) As with all glass products, please inspect for damage before you use and please be careful not to cut yourself on any sharp edges.

Plants: If you’ve ordered live plants from our store, please make sure to open the package as soon as it arrives and repot the plants within 7 days of delivery. If you’ve selected a plant for your kit that isn’t available or not in season, our staff will substitute your selection with a similar option. Juicykits policies regarding heat packs or shipping warmers
Heat Packs: While we recommend a heat pack (shipping warmer) when shipping to places with freezing or near-freezing temperatures, it’s totally up to you whether you’d like to include one. We use UniHeat 72-hour Heat Packs, which are designed for shipping live plants, fish, insects, and reptiles. The heat packs steadily release heat during shipping so that your items don’t freeze. The heat packs activate slowly, up to 3 hours and reach their peak surface temperature of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38C) in approximately 24 hours. If shipments last for longer than 72-78 hours, the heat will begin to decline and return to normal outside temperatures. The heat packs are environmentally safe and can be disposed of with normal trash.

Shipping: Most orders ship directly from the Juicykits studio in Downtown Los Angeles each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some products such as lighting equipment and apparel will ship separately from one of our partners, so your order may come in multiple packages. Because we rely on various farms to supply fresh succulents, we may need up to 5 business days to prepare your order before shipping. Our primary shipping methods are FedEx Ground and USPS Priority Mail. Delivery time will vary based on your distance from Los Angeles – between 1 and 5 business days. FedEx doesn’t ship to P.O. boxes, so please be sure to provide us with a street address.

International Shipping: Due to legal restrictions on some of our products, we currently only ship within the continental United States – no international shipping and no shipping to AK, HI, Puerto Rico, or Guam. The main reason is to prevent the spread of bacteria, pests, and other contaminants that could harm the ecosystem in other places. The U.S. Department of Agriculture requires that we have very expensive processes and licenses in order to ship outside of the US – and as a small business, we aren’t ready to invest in those at this time.

Free Domestic Shipping: Free domestic shipping applies to regular retail orders that total over $150 dollars before tax or shipping are applied. Free shipping only applies to orders shipped within the continental United States (lower 48 states). You must choose the free shipping method when you check out, or you can keep the standard paid shipping. Special bulk orders from our company gifts discount program do not qualify for free shipping.

Digital Gift Cards: Digital Gift cards can only be assigned to one recipient per gift card – you must enter the recipient’s email address at the time of purchase. We cannot transfer the gift card amount to another email address once it’s been purchased or our computer systems will explode. Our coupon codes do not apply to gift cards. We are able to create custom gift card amounts in increments of $50 ($200, $450, etc.). To request a custom amount, please contact us. See all our Digital Gift Cards.

Returns & Exchanges: Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales which contain plants are final. Some exceptions can be made for orders where items arrive damaged due to our packaging, however this is based on the discretion of staff. Orders without plants may be exchanged for other products or store credit if you contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. If you’ve made a mistake in your order, you may contact us before the order ships and we’ll be happy to modify your order to be exactly the way you want it.
