Living Stones (Aloinopsis Schooneesii) are related to the larger lithops that are more common, but this guy is a clump of smaller, speckled leaves. This is a super special succulent because it has one huge root stem and sometimes looks like a cartoon tree when the root is exposed. Each of the little leaves is speckled with little clear dots that let light into the center of the plant. This clumpy type of living stone produce yellow/orange flowers during the summer season.
The best way to take care of these is to just leave them alone most of the year. They need a lot of light, so give them as much sun as possible. Their growing season is during the summer months, during which they should be watered roughly every two weeks or when the soil is completely dry. Once the flowers drop in the autumn and winter months, you can stop watering them altogether. Start watering again in the spring. It's normal for some of the leaves to die to make room for new leaves.
The Living Stone kit comes with a 4 inch cube pot in matte black or matte white, 1 lb of Juicykits cactus mix, 1/2 lb of jet black lava rock, and a cute little note card. Supplies are limited, so don't wait to order.
